kay folks, this is real and if you’ve never been political before, here’s your chance to make your voice heard. I just did it and it will literally take less than five minutes of your time!

The U.S. house and senate are about to vote (in a week and a half!) on a law that will OUTLAW ORGANIC FARMING!! Main backer is (of course) Monsanto chemical and engineering giant corporation. This bill will require organic farms to use specific fertilizers and POISONOUSinsect sprays dictated by the newly formed agency to “make sure there is no danger to the public food supply”. This will include back yard gardens that grow food only for family use. If this passes. no more heirloom clean seeds but only Monsanto genetically altered seeds that are now showing up with UNEXPECTED DISEASES in humans!

There is an enormous rush to get this into law within the next two weeks before the people realize what’s happening.

The insane bill is called “Food Safety and Modernization Act (Bill HR 875)

Call Congressman Tom McClintock’s office and tell them (politely) you’d like to vote NO on this bill.

I am from southern red clay and work vans.
I am from blue collar America and grills that fire on Saturday and Sunday.
I am from fathers and mothers who had big dreams but gave in too soon, left them behind because babies came first.

I am from pork chops and hamburgers at least once a week.
I am from people who show pride in a country that has never done anything for them, except work em’ to death and take most of their hard earned money.
I am born of a long family history of Southern roots and grandmothers who believe I should act like a lady and give my husband what he wants anytime he wants it.
I am born of Southern Baptist and Methodist who think Jesus will save me if I just believe he will. I am from rock solid strong women who fight for their babies no matter what they have done. I am from my mother.

THe Bodhisattva decided to go see the Buddha, So he set off on foot.
Some where along his journey he came upon a man who was sitting in the lotus position.
He was meditating but he had made several mistakes in that he had not chosen a shady spot, so he was out in the sun being absolutely cooked. He was sun burned and dehydrated. And he had also made the mistake of sitting next to an ant hill, so they were crawling all over him and eating his flesh and he was absolutely miserable.
So as the bodhisattva walked by he said to him, “When you see the Buddha ask him how long it will take for me to become enlightened.”
The Bodhisattva promised to do that and continued on his way.

A few days later he came across a second man, who was dancing and laughing and singing, just in a state of exhilaration, just bopping around. When he saw the Bodhisattva he said, “Hey when you see the Buddha ask him how long it will be before I become enlightened.” The Bodhisattva promised.

So he went on and had his audience with the Buddha and on his way back a few weeks later, he came upon the first man. By now the ants had taken most of the flesh off his body, he was blistered from the sun, he was practically dead, absolutely miserable. And the Bodhisattva says, “The Buddha says it’s going to take 6 more life times for you to become enlightened.” The man bows his head and weeps, oh no I can’t stand it.

The Bodhisattva goes on, and comes up on the other man, who is still laughing, still dancing, still singing, having sips of his wine. He takes a bit of food out of a food bowl from time to time. The bodhisattva comes by he says, ” You see that bush over there, the small tree, the one with all the leaves on it. The Buddha says for every leaf that is another life time you will have to endure before you are enlightened.” And the man said, “Is that ALL”. And he began laughing and dancing more exuberantly and at that moment, he became enlightened.

I transcribed this from the movie 1 Giant Leap, This is a small part by Tom Robbins that I love. If you have not seen this movie, it is one I recommend.

Another of my favorites from the movie, ” If you go to sea and sink in, you will have experienced the depths of the sea, but you will not come back and tell me about it. If you go to the depths of deep truths, you will know deep truths, but you will not come back and tell me about this.”

Did anyone know that the GOP Actually stands for Grand Old Party? And we still as a nation use this title.
The Republican Party is one of the two major contemporary political parties in the United States of America, along with the Democratic Party. It is often referred to as the Grand Old Party or the GOP. In spite of its nickname, it is the younger of the two major U.S. political parties; nonetheless, it is the second oldest active political party in the United States.
Founded in 1854 by anti-slavery expansion activists and modernizers, the Republican Party rose to prominence with the election of Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican president. The party presided over the American Civil War and Reconstruction and was harried by internal factions and scandals towards the end of the 19th century. Today, the Republican Party supports a conservative platform (as far as American politics are concerned), with further foundations in economic liberalism and social conservatism.
The current U.S. President, George W. Bush, is the 19th Republican to hold office. Republicans currently fill a minority of seats in both the United States Senate and the House of Representatives, hold a minority of state governorships, and control a minority of state legislatures. It is currently the second largest party with 55 million registered members, encompassing roughly one third of the electorate.

Now, that that’s done, I’ll say this: Ron Paul is clearly the candidate whose views uphold my own. We could truly benefit from his integrity, intelligence and insight. Yet, as he himself has said I think he represents a division in the campaign that has to be strategically acknowledged so as not to thwart the overall momentum of the change that everyone wants. Why is that? Dunno. Maybe it’s his own reluctance. Maybe it’s our need to address what’s on the surface before we reach the core. Maybe it’s a lack of charisma. Maybe it’s an overall lack of faith in the potential for true change from within the ranks of a capitalist system. Either way, it’s up to us to strategize the way to the world we wish to experience. How do we get masses of people to raise real questions, to look beneath the surface, to get beyond the game? Does it take just a bit of playing the game? How does one resist becoming a pawn? a manipulator? a king? Ever read Richard Bach’s Illusions: Notebook of a Reluctant Messiah?
Is a messiah what everyone’s looking for? a symbol? As a poet, I respect the need for symbolism to heighten emphasis and inspire broader thought. What role does symbolism play in the spectrum of our times?

This is an essay question.

Progress

This is my hip-hop

How can process be any less than progress?
How can we sit and judge unless we think we got this?
Does anyone ever really got it?
Or do we just get glimpses and then get to practice?
We are all human,
There is no hierarchy,
What I say to you
bounces off
and sticks to me like glue.
The lessons I download and preach to you,
are but my own lessons, needing to pass through,
so I can understand the message too.
Like I said before, “We’re all here doin this thang”.
We can work together and survive.
Or you can judge me, and die.
Not in the physical sense, the spiritual tense.
I say let people be!
Let you be you and me be me.
Let the process be beauty
No matter how unfamiliar, or scary it may seem.
Let the witness be humble
and learn not to stumble on my mistakes,
but hey
if the witness falls, we got em ya’ll.
Working together,
we’ve tried all the rest.
Only thing left is being open to the hardest test.
Let people be, let you be you and me be me.
It’s called INDIVIDUALITY!

What the world needs now!

I think that we are heading into a restructuring of consciousness, separating what is important and what is materialistic and futile. We can tell people want something to believe in, in the way people are supporting Obama. He represents the change people want in their own lives, but what people fail to realize is we all have our own power to take our lives back to remove ourselves, or to play a long. People always want someone else to do for them, to think for them, to say it for them. I like Obama but on many levels but he is running for a competition. He is telling us what we all want to hear and I like him but I know that the president doesn’t really accomplish anything. We have to start at grass roots level and change the way we act and think. I like am not putting down any presidential candidate and I like Obama’s points on education and ecomony but every president makes big promises and most of the time nothing is accomplished. It’s time for the people to accomplish what we want, revolution, and maybe Obama will help to facilitate, maybe not who knows
